Lead Pastor
Sejin “Kaleb” Oh
Pastor Kaleb is a certified candidate and licensed local pastor for the UMC with a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology. His Bachelor’s Degree is in Hospitality Management from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2011. Before being appointed to El Segundo UMC, he served as a youth pastor at Los Angeles Korean United Methodist Church in Los Angeles, CA.
Kaleb is married to Abby, who is a freelance graphic artist and content creator. She has received her Associates in Fashion Design from FIDM in San Francisco, CA. Prior to receiving an appointment at ESUMC, Kaleb and Abby ran a clothing business called Gravity LA with a store based on La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles, CA.
Kaleb’s passion in ministry is to bring love and healing to those that have been hurt by the church and to create a beloved community that is rooted in that love and healing. He believes that we are called to live out the healing and liberating message of Christ for all and to confront all forms of injustice and oppression.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, going fishing, cleaning his car, PC gaming and building, watching anime, or just learning new things.

Kathy McCandless
Kathy’s working background has mostly been in office work with the last twenty years as office manager in a Methodist church in Long Beach. She is a lifelong United Methodist having grown up in Redondo Beach First UMC where she and her husband are still members. She is married to Rick and they have four adult offspring: Dan, Kelly, Colleen and Luke, and a sweet border collie named Maisie. Their family is all musical, and they enjoy singing in four-part harmony when they can be together.
Handbell Choir Director

Kathy is the leader of “Bells of Joy”, a bell choir which provides music for both El Segundo UMC and for the city of El Segundo at special events.
